Pictures
Here are some pictures, the last picture where he is darker and on the ground is the day I brought him home. Notice his rear right leg, looks swollen and wide; the other pics are today and it is not noticeable and his leg is much better as well as his other joints. He had some...
Thank you, no roaches! Yes I take him outside after work to get some real sun and I agree about the D3, he had UVB light and a barren cage with two sticks in it to climb on when I got him. He had a poor diet as well, and only needed calcium w/o D3. From what they told me he was getting way...
The 1 week is in reference to the "How To Ask" section for how long have had the Chameleon. I have had him for 1 week. I do not know his age, I am his third known owner. 1+ is all I know after that no info can be provided by previous owner on his age.
I rehomed this beautiful turquoise calyptratus. Some of the husbandry is sketchy. Only fed crickets and they used D3 every other feeding. He had some swollen joints that seem slighty less in only a week, could have this been "metastic calcification" or gout(with the swollen joints that appear...
Thank You
I am working on the plant, next week, something like a ficus benjamina and I have pothos growing in the substrate. I understand the concern with the substrate, I will think about it; it is the Eco Earth (ZooMed) and I have it compact and will make sure it stays compacted enough. I...
This may be too much, let me know:
He is older than 1 but I have no idea honestly, here is what I come up with but I am not really certain so I will take some advice.
7 A.M. 1 Cricketand 1 Dubia w/Calcium w/o D3
12 P.M. 2 Crickets w/Calcium w/o D3
5 P.M. 1 Cricket and 1...

I just got this yesterday and I have it above my screen. My screen does not seem that small, but should I try to figure a way to get the light inside the enclosure so nothing is filtered. $20 bulb I would like to get the full effects.
I have read not to use spinach, I think it is thought to have an inhibitor of calcium or to that effect. I was in the grocery store so I started looking at vegetables. Spinach per serving seemed to be higher in calcium than the others, but whatever spinach contains or may contain makes me...
Good Eye
Good Eye, the one vine could have have place him next to 90 degrees, I have it where he cannot cross the path of the heat lamp exposing him to direct hotter temperatures. I am moving that one!

I agree, I going to work that out someway and make them tight so he can walk on them easily, just not sure, I will get everything else done first then figure out the best way to run the rope so he can use it. Soon he will have a bigger cage and I can put something new in this one.

Temp?
60-65 degrees or 80-85 degrees??? It is only warm where the rope is in reference to the heat lamp, the lamp is set back some and the rope is forward in the cage. It is a Flukers 75 Watt and I now have where his back is closet to the lamp at 85 degrees. He seems more active with his...

Thank you
Okay, I will raise the heat lamp, starting with a half inch and go from there. Good looking out! Misting, i have a dripper cup, and I mist twice a day and spray it on the top of the screen as well so it drips down. I have placed him in the shower with the sprayer at the wall and...
Besides not being a tall enough cage, I rehomed this guy and all he had was two sticks. I got fake vines and he moves around from vine to vine. Threw some rope in their for some detail and the possibility he will use it. I have some pothos growing at the bottom. I started a wooden platform...
Thank You
Yeah, I have scratched that idea based upon what I have read on here and elsewhere. I have a meal worm colony, dubia colony, crickets (which I hate, but he loves them so I will keep using them). Can anyone else suggest some insects that are easy to form colonies. I heard some...
The individual I got my Cham from said they gave him a pinkie once a week for a treat and he would go nuts when he saw it. It sounds like many do not think it is a good idea so I think I will refrain from offering a pinkie to him.

I have been looking to purchase a male and female mouse but I cannot locate any site that sells them other than frozen. Does anyone know where I can get a male and female so I can breed for pinkies. Petsmart only sales males.

The light is a Zilla Tropical 25 UVB Fluorescent 13 Watt Coil Bulb. They said they set the lights right on top of the cage and I do not know how high he was able to perch to it. I have a branch going away from the heat lamp and I used the clamp to keep it up higher. Right now the...
