    Panther color question

Powersun 100w! I think your making the right move here, but I have a quick question. When you filled out the help form you said you were using a powersun 100w as a basking bulb. Is is a mercury vapor bulb? If it is then it also emits a UVB spectrum. A mercury vapor bulb is really only intended...

    Dubia / Cricket Feeding Question

ooohhh lol. from what i've heard it's best to gutload a few hours before they're feed off. the less time the gutload spends inside the feeder the better since the feeder will digest and pass it off as waste before your chameleon can.

    Dubia / Cricket Feeding Question

ideally you should feed in the mornings and remove whatever wasn't eaten at night. some feeders (especially crickets) have been known to chew on chams while their sleeping

    Agressivness

should be ok. when it comes down to it the chameleons personality will have the biggest impact on how aggressive it is. her aggressiveness towards handling may be a result of poor handling done by the pet store you got her from. you can somewhat shape her personality by hand feeding treats like...

panther sleeping before lights go off....

He's probably fine, I had the same experience when I first got my panther. I had the timer set to turn off very late, and I would sometimes catch him dosing off an hour or two before his lights turn off. If your located in CA the sun probably sets around 6:30 this time of year, right? As long as...

    Is this normal?

Recently I've noticed Yoshi's ribs sticking out the sides of his body more and more, and I'm worried he's getting too thin. He's coming up on 11 months old, and I'm aware chameleons usually look a little thin and lanky before they fill out as adults, but he seems still seems too thin to me. He...

Anyway to stop the humming of florescent bulbs?

Thanks for the tips everybody:D The only real reason I'm currently using such cheap fixtures is because I had them lying around the house. Does anyone know of a good dual fixture with an electronic ballast and a nice reflector?
