I have a young Jackson's male who lost one of his preocular horns a few months ago. He has grown a ton since then and his horns are getting big...but that one is not growing back. I would assume it is the same with melleri.

I have a post about feeding snails to chameleons. I don't suggest using wc snails...I do second generation onwards in a clean tank to be sure that they are parasite free. I also wouldn't use slugs. Since slugs don't have shells as a defensive plan, they often are mildly toxic, noxiously slimy...

I feed baby snails to my little chameleons all the time. I raise my own- don't use wildcaught ones!

JoJackson, if you scroll back to my first post in this thread, you can check out my dreads. I think they are more your style. They DO take forever to dry, btw, but they are very clean (depending on the person who has them) and there are a lot of misconceptions about them, unfortunately.

I believe Chuck G of Heroic Chameleons has some Ambilobe girls for sale from some stunning lines for a good price. You should PM him about it and ask.

It is because clear will allow light in that algae needs to grow, I think. Also, HerpMist systems are good, they just aren't available right now. ProMist is good as well, as is MistKing. Just don't buy a cheap mister made by Zoo Med or sold as an unknown brand name. I have heard horror...

It all depends on what I am cleaning. I keep poo picked up day to day as soon as I notice it and scrape water forward from the bottom of the cages with a clean squegee. I scrub my cage bottoms, branches, and any leaves that got poo'ed on with a dedicated scrubber brush from the dollar store...

Ambanjas are typically deeper colors while Ambilobes are screamers. An Ambanja's blue bars would be like navy blue while an Ambilobe's blues would be very bright and neon. The same goes for reds. Ambanjas have more burgandy, while Ambilobe would have fire engine. Yellow is a color you don't...
