I wouldn't feed that to your Chameleon. If i remember correctly, those locust have very sharp talons and have jagged legs to grip onto objects with. I would think they would be harmful for your chameleon.
Mine is doing the same....as I have been doing research lately, a lot of Jacksons seem to. I'm extremely curious about this. I am currently looking for a vet myself.

If you are located in Hawaii, Jacksons can actually survive in the wild there. Take her to one of your mountainous areas, walk her a little ways into the tree line, put her on a tree and simple let her go.
