Haven't heard the St. Ives one in a while though.
As for the train, I'll admit I looked back. I'll say 12, the train had to stop for the first peple to get on.
Realized she was receptive, she's been trying to get out to find a mate. Problem for her is that he's upstairs in my brother's gecko room and no longer than my thumb. Maybe in another year...
"It was two female rats. Well when the snakes wouldn't eat I got the rats a little home, and one...
Thought I'd post some updated pics of Germaine. Haven't had a good picture of her in a few months. She's around 100g right now, 6 or so inches STV.
This is from when she first started showing some colour.
Climbing the curtains
Not thrilled at the camera, from about 5...
Canadian Tire didn't trip the switch did it. I order all my stuff from the US anyways. 1 or 2 orders a year save me about $300 canadian. Back on topic now, sorry for the hijack.
Made the mistake of walking in to a petsmart the other day looking for fruit fly colonies. (They had them the last time I was in, but that was back in 2006). Waiting for over 30 minutes gave me some time to look at the animals in there. Had a male veiled, likely 4 months, in a 5 gallon tank...
Lettuce contains no nutrition, try kale instead.
I think an update to the feeder database is in order. Include both live animal and plants commonly used for feeding. Maybe a second one for toxic/inappropriate plants and animals.
I wanna know where you shop. Cheapest I've found was for $20 at Canadian Tire on clearence. Local exotics shops want upwards of $30-35 for one.
You also want to consider getting a temperature gun for accurate basking temps of both your basking spot and the chameleon.
Don't leave the crickets in all night. Your cham may not like crickets, but crickets love chams. Remove them to ensure she isn't bitten while asleep.
BTW, is that a picture of her in your avatar, cause that casque looks way to big for a 3 month old female. (or any age female I've seen for...
The zoomed and exo-terra bulbs are formulated to reduce UVC output so UV burns are unlikely. I know my veiled will angle herself on her vine to receive the most light on her sides.
Keep in mind the the size of your chameleon when you measure the basking spot. The vine or plant may read 90*F...

Is that 3.5" snout to vent or the length from the snout to the end of the tail?
The basking spot is seems to high for a cham that young. How are you measuring the temperatures in the basking spot?
You should try switching to a lower wattage bulb for now and see what happens.
She's gonna need some plants, either live or artificial. The cage size will do for now, but she will need a larger one in the future.
Could you post some more info on the bulb. (Brand, output(2.0,5.0,10.0, etc...) size)
The waterfall is a big no. Chams won't drink from it and it breeds...
What's the basking temperature at? If she's gaping it means she's trying to cool down. A baby cham should have a warm spot of no more than 85*F and an overall enclosure temp of 75*F. Temps should drop to around 65*F at night. What species is it and could you describe the enclosure and...
There is no such thing as a large 40 gallon tank when you are talking about chameleons. Male veiled at that age should be in a cage 2'x2'x4'. Even if it's not a veiled (and your description raises some questions), a 40G tank is too small.
