Right, anything that my Veiled did that seemed unusual use to freak me out. Never failed. But now when he does something out of the ordinary I'm a little more ok with it. Guess I just got used to him doing weird things lol.
Once my Veiled popped a large hornworm, around 4", and when he bit down a long stream of juice shot out of him and landed on the wall several feet away...
To showjet95-
I'm almost certain that is exactly the one. The leaves seem to have a rounder shape and the yellows a little darker, but the limbs are also greyish, so I would assume that that's what happens to the leaves as they age. What I'm talking about with the plant that I've seen in...
No advice, sorry I have no experience with them, but I would just like to say that that is a very impressive horn on that last girl. Your male might be wary to not get too fresh, as she may shish kabob him ;)
Keep it around 75 at night. During the day in the low to mid 80s, but have some where that he can hide into that would be in the 70s if he gets too hot. Have a basking area of about 90. Everything else that you're doing for him sounds fine. You could also squirt droplets of water in his...
I would try to stop him from eating yellow jackets or any kind of wasp as they can be pretty aggressive. But for bees, I do it, as well as many others. Probably the best bee to go with are Carpentar Bees because the males don't have stingers and the females rarely sting.
People also feed...
Your Chameleon - Sambava Panther, Male. Will be here tomorrow
Handling - None, and will give time to get used to new place
Feeding - Will be feeding crickets(mom won't let me get roaches).Using bug-burger repashy
Mainly crickets will be fine while he is still young. You can go with pinheads...
Yikes!! That poor woman.
Yeah I had a couple of close calls with mocassin's too when If was younger. In one instance I was exploring the wooded area behind my house. I live on 2 acres in the woods. I got around a swampy area and grapped a hold of a branch to move it out of the way and I...
Haha you scared of bigger and more dangerous reptiles ;)
I think gators are incredible, and I love snakes, but whenever I encounter one a moccasin I get shivers down my spine and the hair on my neck stands up.
Guess so...lol
Man it's really killing me to think about them because I want to just get an enormous colony of both, but they haven't shown themselves yet this year.
I did however find a younger Bird Grasshopper of some species. Pretty sure it's either Obscure or American but I can't...
Oh, haha, forgot about the thread being moved to it's proper location. I mean I knew it would be moved but I had like a brain fart about since it's going to be moved it will be right with the other thread. Ok I understand what you meant now.
Hello!
Hi Ariel and welcome to Chameleon Forums.
I'm planning on getting my first chameleon around mid-april when there's a local reptile show in town. I'm planning on a veiled. I've been doing plenty of research for the last month or so.
Good for you :). Glad your not just blindly diving...
To start off as I thought this was pretty funny and appropriately timed: Ignorance, Rudeness, and Arrogance will get your a$$ kicked(sorry but thought this way too easy to pass up :D:p;))
But sereiously, I'm just curious as to what you are explaining here:
One last thought thought.. The...
It's no problem buddy :). It's like I said I'm not trying to really argue with anyone I just wanted to point out what the situation looked like from where I was standing. I mean personally, if it were me that was in her position, and read comments about not posting the same thread twice, and...
Right I hear you but look.
I can see why she is posting in two different areas. With members normally viewing a SPECIFIC TOPIC, some MORE KNOWLEDGABLE people on the subject may not be viewing the topic where she first posted the thread. So by posting in two different locations, she can get...
