First Time Chameleon Owner- Jackson Babies

I have to agree with Melrito. I had Jacksons when I lived on Maui, they did great in the cooler temps of Up Country Maui, but were over heated when I moved back down to sea level. Having a live plant doesn't hurt either, they like to climb and it adds a sense of security for them. Mine also...

    two in one cage

I would wait until you know for sure if you have a male or female. 2 males will just end up fighting as they mature. Of course they don't stay young for long, at which point they will need to be housed separately.

    two in one cage

You might want to research this a little more. I've seen several threads here that talk about this very subject. Unless you have a really big enclosure with plenty of cover and separate basking spots, it might work.... for a while. I would guess that housing 2 together in a standard sized...

    my custom tank and stand!

Nice job! Is that tank something you made or did you buy it somewhere? Looks like a screen door and top? What species are you thinking about? Trying to figure what type of enclosure will be best for my situation, and this set up gives me some ideas.

Chameleon cages project in the works.

Pretty sweet set up! But, as posted earlier..... my concern is that the chams will be able to see each other.

How would you set up a 125 Gallon tank?

I think the one concern, as posted earlier, is the height of the tank. Most chameleon species that are commonly kept are arboreal and like to climb, and will be more comfortable with more vertical space than horizontal. You might want to look into Pygmy Chameleons. You'll find tons of good...

So where am I at on this?

I kept A few Jacksons at one time and the female I had looked pretty much exactly like yours. A male of that size would have well developed horns.

End of the Space Shuttle era

it is a sad day for those of us who grew up watching shuttle launches on tv and being amazed that people were going into space on a regular basis. Its crazy to think that this amazing scientific and engineering accomplishment started and ended in my life time, I was 4 years old when the first...

    Water Drippers

One thing to keep in mind is that UV rays do not pass through glass. As long as the window is open then you're all good! :) I would suggest getting rid of the waterfall.... great place for bacteria to grow.

    Mis-treated Bearded Dragon.

I rescued 2 Beardies and a red ear slider from similar conditions, the turtles' shell had soft spots all over and the Beardies had no lights, or water source or food, ect... It was awesome to see these animals bounce back after a few months of proper care!! Get them outa there!
