I will soon be in an exciting area near George. I am an amateur with a passion for chameleons and being retired enables me to travel the country in my RV.

When I was a young lad (long, long ago) we could not keep chameleons indoors at all. How technology has improved!

They are very delicate. Normally I prefer not to handle them when so young.

I do feel very privileged to be able to interact with these magic creatures. Searching for and finding them in the wild is very exciting!

The Southwestern Cape Province of South Africa is bursting with spring life. I have counted thirteen juvenile Bradypodion pumilum, no more than two days old, just in the bushes around my camp area.

Looking forward to posting photos of the newborns when they arrive.
