IMHO save the money you're spending on getting a terrarium and just buy materials you need to build your own enclosure and build your own. You would save I suppose and wouldn't have to upgrade once your jackson grows.
Live plants are always more recommended because they hold more humidity but...
Depends on different chameleons, if you look at the care sheets you get from the internet, you'll find that it says that chameleons love quiet and not crowded places. Try to find a room with that and you'll be fine.
They don't hear, they feel vibrations, not any kind of vibrations though, I...
Update:
Forgot to update the thread, Hyde has a much more bigger enclosure now
(around 180cm x 60cm x 60cm). Everything seems healthy, got him a schefflera plant and vines/branches to climb on, getting a mistking soon, got a UVB light too. Got all the calciums and the multivitamins I need...
I can tell if there's a problem with my temps when my cham goes darker, so first thing to always do when your cham goes dark (hopefully not anymore) is to check your temps.
1- Hand feed
2- Free range
3- Sunbathe
4- show interest to him that you care.
I've had mine for two weeks and I've done the exact steps above and he's simply perfect.
Just what I need even though I'm still new here, noticed some are way toooo exaggerated when it comes to advice or telling you what to do. Do what you feel is right for your chameleon, my chameleon does the same to me sometimes and I handle him just fine, never seen him puff or stress or...
Getting a really huge one soon custom made so that's all good.
There are behind the fake plants but you can't see the, comfortable? you sure know how a chameleon feels.
Alright so here's a picture of his viv, as I said I left out the left corner of the viv for him as a basking spot with the branch if he wants to get closer to the lamp. Getting the UVB light today (thinking of going for a ExoTerra 10.0 UVB florescent bulb?) and the hygrometer.
The pic looks...
That's a beautiful chameleon there! I think mine's an ambilobe too! just an off-topic question, how'd you get it to be that colorful! I mean mine changes but I've seen it go for a few colors only and not as colorful as this!
Different species differ,

Yeah obviously until I'm able to locate an enclosure like the ones you guys have, for now this is really hard, maybe the hardest pet I've ever had, reptiles are really not the best pets in here in terms of keeping and even supplies, pff.
Been doing some reading and thankfully I've been doing everything properly except I need to add a UVB light which I'm getting tomorrow since it's late night in here and just need to vary his diet for him (hopefully crickets as a start).
For the terrarium I'd say about the same size as the link...
Read her topic about her chameleon, so sorry to hear that, she did mention that the diet of chameleons in here that she was able to find are crickets and meal worms only. Everything she said in her topic is true about feeding him other things, the insects/bugs we have in here could possible...
Firstly thank you for replying!
That's what I was told at the shop, he was around 3-4 months old. Gotta double check with them then!
Oh trust me I've had a hard time finding this guy and had a lot of people search for me and I finally I was to find someone who has just imported it and didn't...
Hey guys,
I'm new to the forums and I hope I can have a good stay here :). I recently bought a panther chameleon because I've had a thing for chameleons and always wanted to have one so I was lucky enough to find a panther here in Dubai and brought it back home. His name's Hyde and he's around...
