Although I am not a breeder of chams, I found your post fascinating. You did right by your girl, and gave members here good information that could save their chams if in a similiar situation.
Thank you for sharing this information even in your grief.
The pet co has a business card taped to the glass of the herb displays. Or call the store, ask what vet takes care of their herbs, because you are looking for a vet.
Personally, I won't buy pet co or petsmart animals. I don't believe that pet stores should sell pets! Pet supplies, yes...
I have in the past done this...
There is usually (at least in the pet cos in Ca) a card that says who the vet. is that treats their animals. I called the vet's office and complained. I asked if the vet was RESPONSIBLE for recommending the deplorable conditions that the animals were in...
I have a aprox. 4month old veiled. I live in the desert of California. I put "Butter" out in his explorium for about an hour or two either weekend mornings ( temps 85 to 95) with a dripper running and a couple good mistings, or in the early evening from 5pm to 7pm. The late afternoon temps...
Whew. I had a real visual of that tiny cham wearing a little pink hat. My daughter is older now, but I sure fed my vacuum many polly pockets accessories. I wouldn't give your little girl any ideas, or you may find your chams completely outfitted one afternoon.

You need to have a thermometer in there to find out what the temp is in several locations of the enclousure. That is the only way to know what watt basking bulb you need to be using. Do you also have a UVB light ?

I know that it is hard for most people under a certian age, but let's just say that when I was in college ..... I wrote my...
I am not a "computer person" -- but I will see if my daughter can figure out how to post pictures here...is there a link on how to post pictures ?
Butter has an explorium for his outside ventures. I recieved it last week, and it is working out well for us. Our daytime temps are very hot...
I came in from work today, and went to check on baby Butter, and he was at the top of his cage, and had all of those wonderful colors that I see in the pics of eveyone's adult veileds !!! He had spots and stripes and was yellow and dark green and wow !!!!
This is the first time I have seen...
