    80% washed playsand 20% organic soil mix has always been my go to media for nesting.. i also put a 1/2 moist layer of soil on top of the mix.. I did his in a 10"x12" tub usually at a depth of 8-10"..When you make the mix compact it in the container and hand dig a pilot hole to test for holding...

    I would agree 100% wc are fragile! I have wc protocols i go through for a minimum of 4 months during that acclimation process.. I have been very lucky over the years..

    Really? They were CITES quota animals, very limited numbers with documentation were exported. Parsonii came in as well.. I would not suggest a novice purchase these, the hefty price tag helps as well ;).

    19 days in country, acclimation in a strange thing.. Male recieved 0.010cc oral B-Complex vitamins yesterday evening/Female 0.06cc. Water/Drip and misting "warm 30 minute shower as well". Water has been pretty much ignored until this morning, 4 pont 32oz drip cup with RO water was accepted...

    On a side note.. My pair are housed in individual 24"x24"x48" home made enclosures.. I wont even make an attempt at introducing the two until the 4-6 month point.. Taking weekly weights as well as monitoring food intake daile.

    That's a big clutch, the largest clutch i ever had was from a very large WC Veiled female, she was about 10mos old when i got her.. Waited about another 9-10 months before i bred her, first clutch 60 second was 85 and the 3rd was 114 in her first season. They were by no means overfed either.
