That's about the going rate for a pair, i paid much less.. Thanks msmorgan, i have a pair of R. Accuminatus coming in a few weeks as well :)..
I hope to have some custom Vivariums to show off within the next few months as well. Back in the 90's i spent a great deal of time building all glass...
I can vividly remember losing 5 Lateralis clutches within 3-4 weeks of hatch.
The power in my home went out while i was sleeping and turned back on within an hour, when i got home from work the following day i found my thermostat had malfunctioned pushing temps to 98 degrees for nearly 16...
These were taken today and I figured I would share and not keep them all for myself :D.
First picture is of our male Uroplatus Phantasticus, second pic is of him as well "sorta lol".
The third picture was taken of my female Calumma O'Shaughnessy during feeding time today, this girl loves her...
Dual is plenty sufficient, i run the 6% on a 48" tall enclosure and the light penetration is great. Remember Todd also has Arcadia T5-HO grow bulbs as well.
I run the Arcadia 6% as well as the Arcadia Grow T5 HO's. I have been beyond impressed with the light output using a dual 48" fixture. The light does penetrate really well and i noticed a positive change in my female O'shaughnessy within 48 hours of use.
I picked up a WC male Sambava in 94 i assumed he was a year old when i got him, he passed in 2001.
About 3 months after i got him he learned the timing of my hand misting schedule! Every day at noon he would be at the front of his enclosure, when he saw the want he would just open his mouth...
I have been sold on the Arcadia 6% for a while! My O'shaughnessy started to respond better within 24 hours of changing over to them, as a matter a fact i just ordered a few more from Todd to finish off my Frilled Vivarium.
Look, its a common sense question. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the husbandry for these animals is very specialized. I have been working with these creatures for 20 years.
I would agree with jpowell 100%.. They are very hardy captives both CB and wild caught. I had a 4.6 group in the early 2000's that were amazing to work with. The biggest key is getting them within a week of being imported.
