This I use it too I just make sure I let it dry and then rinse it off again and let it dry, before putting anything in the enclosure. During this time it lets me examine the chameleon(s) to make sure everything is ok.
Like recommended keep them in separate enclosures for their health.
When she is nice and ready and receptive to mate, I would honestly consider putting them in a spot where it is no ones territory. Like in the living room in a big ficus tree or something something away from their enclosures...
