    This is not correct and has been addressed many times. Glass and free range enclosures are two excellent options that come to mind.

    I know this, but I've the other chameleons that I have seen give live birth, the babies come out totally helpless and in a sac. Doesn't it make sense the chameleons would have a preferred place of depositing the little ones?

    And if you think about it, there is absolutely no difference is desert sun and jungle sun assuming the same elevations. The only difference is what blocks the light.

    What type of fixture is it? Most keepers use a linear fluorescent light for UVB and then a regular bulb for heat.

    I've heard chameleons sometimes dig to find humidity or to cool off. I would re evaluate your temps and humidity levels.
