    want to get better lighting

I received an email this morning from Todd that he just got a shipment of product in. If the item you want doesn't show in stock on his site, he may actually have it.

    Got my first snails

Did you need a permit for them to ship to you? A friend of mine had African land snails before and kept them in warm area of the home and reproduction increased, not sure if that might work for you. Cuttlebone is also recommended. I want to get some snails too.

    wood sealer

Just stumbled upon this thread. There is a product called Pond Armor which is commonly used to waterproof wood aquariums. It also holds up against uv and is completely animal safe.

    Wood Sealer

Look up a product called Pond Armor or Pond Shield. It is commonly used to construct wood aquariums, and way easier to apply than fiberglass. You'll probably need to get it shipped to you. I plan on getting some soon.

    Finding a good generator

I've never messed with indoor generators, but it looks like they're probably pretty expensive. An option may be a small propane heater that takes the small lantern style propane tanks. Some precautions would be to not have it right next to or aimed at the cham's enclosure, and to crack a...

    Got my Arcadia T5 today!

Thank you. It looks good. Those T5s really crank out the light.

    Got my Arcadia T5 today!

Is it t5ho? Could you post a pic of your enclosure lit by only the t5 please. I'm planning a large heavily planted build and want to see how the light penetration is. I'm currently thinking 3 t5ho (one uvb, one 6500k, and one 10000k)

    Led uvb

I'll be skeptical of led uvb until I see someone take a uv meter to it. If done properly they can make nice lighting for plants and dart frogs though.

    House Flies

According to this I don't think you can gutload them with the same food as crickets and roaches. I will be trying these though. They should provide a lot of stimulation to chams.

    Arcadia lighting ?'s

I believe they sell a 5% or 6% uvb, which is what I'd recommend. The bulb will fit if you order the regular flourescent (which is probably a T8). Do not order the T5 or T5HO, they are a different design and take a different fixture. Contact Light Your Reptiles, they'll steer you in the...

    Tips for catching crickets

Place some cut up cardboard egg carton pieces, or toilet paper rolls, in your cricket bin. The crickets will crawl on them. Just pick up a piece and shake them into a plastic bag. If you want to dust the crickets put a small amount of the supplement in the bag and shake them. No need to dump...

New Babies -- F2 Kinyongia multituberculata

Cain, if you do not have anyone local to watch your chams, get ahold of me. Not sure exactly where in MD you are, but I'm only 30 min north of Gettysburg.

    i have really good news!

Don't give up. It's very fulfilling going out on your own and pursuing something, be it a "hobby business" or a full-time gig. Regardless of how small or large you're thinking right now though, you should write up a business plan. I know this may sound silly if you only intend to do this as a...

Any Ideas to make shift a mister just for 10 hours??

I'd just mist your cham before you leave. As long as its healthy going 10 hours without a spritz isn't going to hurt anything. I've never been a fan of the ice cube method because the idea of a reptile drinking water that cold scares me. You can make a homemade dripper using a container...

Just got home with new cham....have question.

Congratulations. As far as a basking light, that really depends on what the room temperature is and the type of housing (screen cage, exo terra, etc.) Did the seller tell you about misting?

New Babies -- F2 Kinyongia multituberculata

I'll be messaging you as soon as I get hydei cultures set up. The enclosure has just been planted. Also, just picked up a few stick bugs to provide some dietary variety. Not sure how long it'll be until I get baby stick bugs though lol

    Waterfall Questions

The cham may defecate in the waterfall and it's also a breeding ground for bacteria.
