yes i too have tried different things, the butter worms will eat squash and carrots, i think the silkies will also eat green peppers and squash.
as far as the preformed vit A, so i guess the carrots just contain vit A? which would be good for the cham's but in moderation, like everything else...
yes the white seems to look like a dry skin eihter from a shed or maybe starting to go into a new one, the lines look like her color. and yes i agree with the other post to put the flourecscent light outside the cage, they don't get to hot but with all the spraying and water it is not a good...
the black spots are probably teeth punctures, i hope for the chameleon's sake it didn't damage any organs, you can use hydrogen peroxide, just pour it over the wounds until it bubbles and then put a topical jelly. it will probably get infected under the skin, if that is the case you need to go...
my male also is very rough and aggressive when he is with his mate, he mounts her and bites her casque and back but i never saw any marks or broken skin. i would think it is part of the mating most animals do it cats, Marv Albert, etc.

i would listen to the posts and not the petstore, your other chameleon didn't die because he was grumpy/stop eating, he died because he got sick then grumpy, then stopped eating.

you can also either purchase a washer/dryer pan or have a sheetmetal shop make pans for your cage. (i had a shop make pans for all my cages) and the cut for a drain or you also can purchase a small shower stall pan which will have a drain receptacle ready for hook up or to drain to a bucket...
i don't think your getting opposite advice it is either taken differently and there are variables
1. all males have 3 horns
2. some females have a single small horn or 3 small horns (typically they would be about 1/8" long) and some females have no horns.

first of all jackson chameleons don't lay eggs, they are live bearers (drop live babies)second of all the bump on the foot thing is called a tarsal spur and is a different type of chameleon (veiled) if she doesn't have horns she is a she, the males usually have three horns on the head.

2 lites, one for night and one for the day?, chameleons only need lighting in the daytime and they should have 2 lights during the day one UVB tube (flourescent, preferably Zoomed 10.0) and a basking lite. (typical spectrum lighting)
what you need to do is go to the vet and maybe it is not...
kinyonga you mentioned snails????
kinyonga
you mentioned snails in your list of chameleon foods, i have put that question out there a few times and got no responce of someone who actually did it. i also have read in certain websites that Jackson's can eat snails but again noone has...
sorry about that, i take my guys on my terrace in the summer and these 'slow' reptiles disappear in a minute but keep in mind while in there cage it sometimes takes me a while to 'spot' them all the while they are right in front of my eyes, the can blend in so well and then into a giant...
it does sound like MBD and the reason it happens is that without the correct bone structure their arms become like rubber bands and cannot direct where they want the limbs to go. i think a visit to the vet would help, if it is at the early stages it will be stoppable.

if your in the right weather zone, they will grow in a week. it seems in the summer i can't slow down their growing enough but now in the winter when they come as tiny babies it takes weeks for them to grow to a decent size. i give them heat but it just isn't the same, any advice.

it depends on the age of you cham, you can dust the silk's. everyone's regiment is different typically calcium wD3 2x week, calcium w/o D3 every other day plus herpivite 1x every other week.
again it depends what kind of chameleon you have and how old it is.
