Anyone going? It's Sept. 29-30th at the Sacramento Convention Center from 10am to 4pm.
I plan on taking the wife and kids and planned to meet up with Kammer's for a meet and greet.
If anyone else is going, let me know. I will take and post pics after the show.
I'm doing it right now...but it's time consuming, the babies take a long time to grow and the time to get my female pregnant was like a month...then there's time as blind pinkies...I'd say it's not worth the effort unless you have a large breeding colony and lots of time...and lots of snakes to...
He shed yesterday and is acting kinda weird today. His colors are varying dramatically from his normals to black and whites on head and hind quarters. He's a bit bloated and only ate a 2 crickets and missed one housefly.
Anyway...he went back to normal colors...but they are kinda washed out...
I have the standard plastic cup with the screened holes at the top with my house flies inside. I've been cooling them down and then opening the cup while standing there and waiting for them to warm up and fly out...then I'd get a few out and close the screen door as I close the lid.
Seems...
I haven't kept chameleons since 1979...so the advice of these senior members should be taken. Just recently, I aquired one again. My experience lies with iguanas, snakes and water turtles. My iguana experience taught me the importance of weekly baths for shedding and wellbeing. But that is a...
Wouldn't this be easier? http://www.chameleonnews.com/humidifier.html
This is what I did and it's working great...humidity, dropplets of water, auto timer, etc.
They tried both...and they were pretty adamate about not using them. I use a 10.00 24" bulb in a reflective fixture for my water turtles with no ill effects. However, that's apples and oranges.
I had a long conversation on the use of 10.0 UVB bulbs with Kammer of Kammerfladge Kreations. The expermentation with these bulbs didn't turn out well. There were some bad reactions, eye problems, skin problems, etc with this level of UVB.
Based on this, I wouldn't recommend the use of...
Where do you get the cages that open like that from the sides? Are you modifying the Kammer ones for stacking next to each other?
I wish my bottom lift door was bigger so I could actually fit the fly cup in there.
Nice ambilobe! I just got mine from Kammers last week. They are very knowledgable, friendly, quick, and the customer service is awesome. I will buy there again.
My 4 year old daughter wants to call him "Curly"....but she likes Charger too... He also has a tiger stripe thing going on....so I was thinking "tiger" or "Sarge"...hehe
I will get some more pics up when I can.
Here is my new arrival! I'm debating on names right now...
What a personality. When I open the screen door...he charges out at me. LOL
I'm thinking about calling him "charger".
Here is a link from Kammer's for their gut load recipe: http://chameleonsonly.com/new_page_5.htm
Some of the ingredients seem impossible to get...but they provide links.
