I would very much like woody to associate me with being fed. She doesn't flare up when I open the cage, and quite often will sit and watch me if I'm doing something at my desk.
I watch her an awful lot. I must spend at least a couple of hours a day just sitting and watching her.
My worry...
I'm a little concerned about the glass cage, as I have read somewhere she may see her reflection and react badly to it, hence me covering the sides in fake plants.
My plan is to get some real plants in the bottom and also to add a misting system.
I have literally just seen her attempt to...
eisentrauti,
I think there has been a misunderstanding with my post, when I say relationship I don't want to play fetch with the thing, or want it to come to it's name,
A relationship is a connection, association or involvement between two living things. By feeding and looking after a...
sorry, i just meant the nutrobal, but that's what it says on the pot. I wasn't sure how many different types of supplement nutrobal make. I dust the mealworms and crickets when i first get them. I feed the feeders with carrot shreds and cabbage leaves.
Anyone got any tips on how tomake an automated mister, or where I can buy one???
I work ten hours at a time, at irregular times, and don't want to stress Woody out by the mistings being at irregular intervals
Another thing I'm slightly concerned about. She seems really unsteady on her feet. Is this just normal for a cham of her age??? I'm worried she will fall and hurt herself.
yeah, i'm aware that they are easily stressed out. I'm trying not to handle it much for the moment, as i've only had her two weeks.
As a beginner though i'm really not sure of the best course of action. She seems to be more friendly than angry.

Anyone got any tips on the best way to start to build the best possible relationship with their cham??
I feel Woody is on the cusp of going either way. Sometimes she'll come out on her own, sometimes she doesn't want to know, sometimes she'll take food from my hand, sometimes not.
Last...
The one i've seen is 36x36x24. It has wooden sides, top, back and bottom. The front is glass and it has 5 spherical mesh holes in the back, each at around 5" diameter.
The guy in the shop says that is what he uses, but just leaves one of the doors open for an hour or two in the daytime to...
incidentally, i have had to wash the waterfall every couple of days to get the crap out of it. I'm just slightly worried as due to my job i work irregular hours and don't want to miss a misting. Are there any automated systems???
thanks for that, i'll sort his viv out then.
When using real plants, are they to be left in pots on the bottoms???
Is a wooden viv with a glass front any good??? I saw one today, but now, reading some peoples set ups, i'm not so sure. When it comes to upgrading, what is the best type????
filled out that help thingy, but it's taking an age to upload.
I live in quite a cold climate, so I'm worried it would get too cold without a lamp. We had a few hot days, and with the thermostat set at around 32 it was rarely on at all.
turned the stat down and she's closed her mouth.
