Thank you, this makes a lot of sense and looks easy/clean! Do you have more detailed pictures of the wooden (bamboo?) frame in your enclosure? Is that for structural integrity or does it serve another purpose?
Did anyone go to this today? There were two panthers and two veileds... I'm almost certain the one veiled was either dead or dying (on the ground with eyes closed and no breathing). The other veiled in the enclosure was very dark brown, almost black - showed no other color. The panthers weren't...
I have one from DIY cages and one from LLL Reptile, both of which are 2x2x4, and were just over $100 shipped. Very simple assembly... Was able to do it by myself.
I don't know if this is helpful, but I found out from a breeder at an expo that mine were dying because I didn't take the dead ones out... apparently if you leave the dead ones in, they release toxicities which kill the other crickets. I also didn't have enough air flow. I now have better air...
Oh yay, I know you've been waiting for this! You can breathe a sigh of relief... for now... I don't know if you're ever fully relieved with chameleons though, they keep us on our toes!
