Nicholas, I fully appreciate your point and stated the same in my first post. Understanding his frustration does not mean agreeing with all his statements or supporting his conclusions.
I would hope that cooler heads would prevail. It is not realistic to expect things to magically become...
I agree with your statements above. If however I understand the judging correctly, the first round of cuts are performed by one individual; voting by the members, which can often be subjective, doesn't occur until later.
Photos with technical issues such as poor exposure, out of focus...
It appears that I will be offering the sole dissenting opinion here.
While not agreeing with the tone of some of Smashtoad's writings, I do understand his frustration with the contest. The photograph he submitted is technically excellent. That is not negated by whether or not one likes him. He...

The only thing I have found is that it is not good to inhale. Heating, depending on temperature and if you are indoors may make inhaling the fumes more of a problem.
I had considered using it in a steam cleaner, but I can't find anything that would indicate that it would be more effective used...
Not to beat that dead horse again, but some of the old batch CFL's are still out there. I was given one a few months back that was purchased in February 2010.
I am not saying that UVB is the problem. I use compacts on occasion myself. You asked for a "scientific article or research paper" so I...
