The scare of my life today...

I lost Commah yesterday too! :( I had all of my cats in the room (they know not to go after him though..) and him on my sholder. He's so little nowadays that I didn't feel him walk off of me. I noticed about 20 minutes later- after I cleaned out the cricket bin, and went to put him back. He was...

Built my first cage over the weekend, suggestions anyone?

I just redid Commah's (4m/oVield) enclosure. Take a look- I have one large plant and alot of vines/branches. The only thing I could manage to reccomend would be alittle more vertical and horizontal climbing things ie: branches/vines/banboo/etc. Commah loves climbing up and down and back and forth!

    humidity

Lights I try to have 12-14 hour days. Ideally 12 hours of UVA/UVB light, 12 of no light. **Oh, I forgot to mention that I have a young Vield- so maybe some of my advice was more Vield-driven...but it seems to be the same for humidity/lights across the board!**

    humidity

I had trouble with my humidity for a long time, but heres what I did. 1) I bought a retifogger that goes off once every 1.5 hours for 15 minutes. It really helps with the humidty- BUT it did freak out my cham the first time it went off! Ha. Now he loves it though...sits right underneath it...

    Chameleon handling

I have never transported my Cham (he's too young and doesn't need the stress), so I couldn't really help you out but to say he has to stay warm. But I will say that you shouldn't stress out a cham that doesn't need to be stressed out. They are "home-bodies" and really shouldn't be moved for such...

    Commah's New Home

Commah upgraded from his 10 gallon screen tank thing to his big boy 2x2x4 Reptibreeze. He loves it... so much in fact that he got an attitude when I tried to take him out for pictures! He hissed up a storm... He's never done that! I'm just gonna take it as he REALLY loves his early Christmas...

    Kale In His Enclosure Questions

David to the rescue again! haha. Yeah- I just worry about Commah like hell! As his Godfather I am leaving it up to you to be more of a spiritual leader and advice giver. Lets let him choose the spirtual path he wants to follow. ;)

    Kale In His Enclosure Questions

He is a Vield- 4-5 months old. My major worry is his choking more than dgestion issues/impaction. It is all pretty soft.

    Kale In His Enclosure Questions

I just put Kale leaf & stem into Commahs enclosure. Immediately he "ran" over and started chomping on it. Obvioiusly he LOVES IT! My only concern is that I put the entire stem-leaves in there, and I dont want him to choke on it... or get impacted. I have put cut-up peices in there before, but he...

    Does Bamboo Die?

Yeah I meant the sticks. I'm glad to hear that they are good. I love how they look, and they work well with the cage i'm working with. I'll deff keep aware of the slickness, I'm not really using them for climbing; i'm using them more as decoration; BUT you can never predict where the little...

My calcium with D3 and multivitamin December Schedule, is this good or not good?

I got the same spray and asked about it in an earlier post. Really- their were mixed opinions about it on the forum, but in the end- Dusting crickets is a proven method to get him Calcium. This spray may not have Calicum in its most digestible form, or may not work as well, who knows, BUT why...

    Does Bamboo Die?

I am planning on building Commah's (4m/oVield) enclosure. He has a 2x2x4 screen enclosure ready to be made into a Chameleon Wonderland! I really like the idea of encorperating vines, live plants, fake stuff for color, etc... And I REALLY love how bamboo looks in the enclosure, but I want...

    ***The Official Enclosure Picture Thread***

I LOVE YOUR CAGE. I plan on stealing the idea of the crossed wood along the back. I love how it looks and Commah would LOVE it! Thanks for the great idea!

    Repti Fogger good or bad?

I LOVE my Reptifogger too! I'm not home to mist alot- so the fogger keeps the humidity perfect! It was just the right price too; AND easy as hell to set up. Just my two cents.

    Drainage System/Plants/New Build Questions

Your advice was very helpful. How do I set up a drainage system? I mean- the Retibreeze is all screen so does that mean just a tank or catching bin underneath it will be what I need? Thanks again!
