What size enclosure is the beardie in? You need to determine his basking temp to ensure you have the correct wattage but the bulb type you are using for basking is correct. With UVB yes you want 10.0 for them - linear tube reptisun is good choice.
I've had personal experience with the new...

I think Amy is growing into a beautiful lady Miss Lily :) My veiled when she was growing did those color changes too. Afterwards, the only time I saw those colors was when I spooked her or pissed her off.
There are a few of us with the flaps in Canada (I'm pretty certain that most if not all were WC imports). To my knowledge, I'm unaware of current breeders with years of breeding flaps......yet.
I'm hoping to attempt breeding in the future :) My WC female laid 23 pearly whites a little while...
My cages are directly beside one another with plastic between to avoid seeing eachother. My room has just moved and now I have rows across from others, which makes it tricky for the sight of eachother. I've got another row of tubs & stuff in the middle of cham rows (as I didn't want to cover...
I'm looking to find some roaches to add to my chams diet. In Alberta it is impossible to obtain, however, I know of people with them? How and where are they coming from? If anyone has some they'd like to sell, please PM me.
Thanks :)
Nothing jumps out as an 'issue'. I think give him a few days to adjust and adapt, rminimize handling/disturbance (as of state has been done) and your cham should be fine. When I've brought them home, they usually don't eat the first day but drink.
As for being active coming out of that box...

What kind of cham do you have?
You say you provide calcium but what type of schedule do you use for your female, as you have had longer this will give us an idea.
UVB -...

Just from what you have wrote, not sure I'd be using red heat bulb or the heat mat? How old is cham? What kind of cham?
There's lots of help available to you here, but...
I as well keep babies in a room that is heating in winter (cold canadian winters), otherwise the heat from other cages provides adequate ambientent temps for babies during other months. I cage my babies like this post https://www.chameleonforums.com/plastic-totes-caging-22773/. The rack babies...
I use those exact tubs for babies & juveniles as well. never thought of trying with pygmies?? hmmm might have too. I find the humidity stays longer in those tubs over my screen cages.
Anyone remember this one? There was a picture of the child riding this snake as well. Apparently, the parents stated that this snake & child were best friends. ????????????????
