Just curious, but maybe you should post a found ad somewhere about the bird. Some little girl might have lost her bird and is crying at home right now:(
With all the reading I have been doing lately regarding veiled chameleons, I have read some terminology I'm not familiar with. A far as morph and lineage ....I'm familiar with those, but others I am not. Anyone care to share? :D
Welcome to the forums! I've recently emerged myself into this hobby (a week ago), and can tell you im excited to learn more. There are plenty of nice and welcoming members on this forum , so don't be afraid to ask ?'s.
Lol, same here. I just got my veiled um maybe 4 days ago. He is alot smaller and still no color. Actually he does get red/orange strips along his side.
I love the SD Zoo and Safari Park (Wild Animal Park). We get the year pass every year. Safari park also has the butterfly exhibit during the spring I believe. I'm gong to have to setup a little trip down to San Diego!:)
I got into them about 5 years ago and since about 2 1/2 years ago,i began focusing on breeding. It has been very rewarding. My family, especially my kids enjoy watching then develop and morph out.
About a week after a fresh culture is made, most of the bean beetles that you used to start the culture will die. It will seem as if the culture crashed, but in about 2-2 1/2 weeks you'll be able to see the beetles tunnels inside the beans. Then "Boom" you will have hundreds upon hundreds.
