No vet checkup or fecal. I live in West Virginia (USA) and the nearest vet that will even see a chameleon (or bearded dragon) is 2 hours away! I may have to take him though... I'll take some pics and post them too.
I just measured him and he is 8.5 inches from tip of nose to end of tail. The first day I brought him home, he could barely raise himself up on all fours... and didnt eat for 2 days. He is a lot better now. He roams around his cage a little and walks/climbs fine. i wouldnt call him "active", but...
im not 100 percent sure of his age. He came from a local "mom and pop" pet store that was shut down due to animal neglect/abuse and horrible conditions. I would guess he is 3 months old? The pet store owner had 5 chameleons in a 5 gallon glass aquarium with no uvb or basking light... and only...
I sure do... basking spot is 93-95ish at the hottest spot, other parts of the cage is room temp (low-mid 70s). Thats how I setup both of his cages... if hes in the medium or large one.
Hes a veiled chameleon...
well, I have 2 cages for him. one is the reptibreeze "medium" size cage which is 16x16x30. The 2nd cage is a DIY homemade cage... made with wood 2x2s and aluminum screen wrapped around it. The dimensions of that cage is 24x24x36. I usually use the Solar Glo MVB when he is in the big cage and I...
my grape vine plant currently has a huge pot. when i bought it, it looked healthy and green. Now, the leaves are starting to to turn more yellowish and shrivel up! It's been under the (Exo-Terra Solar Glo) UVB bulb since I got it home. I've watered it once and misted it probably 6 or 8 times...
Hello everyone!
I got my chameleon a grape vine plant for his repti-breeze. Im worried that the grape vine will die since it has no "real" sunlight. I do have a Exo-Terra Solar Glo 160 watt Mercury Vapor Bulb on top, but will that keep the grape vine plant alive? Ive tried to google and...
so what is the best choice? I'm just going to go buy some. I have a lowes and walmart local. home depot and anything else is over a hour drive.
I have seen the conflicting info with plants. one site says it's ok, the next site says it's not!
what is the best recommended plant(s) for a veiled...
also, if it is a Draceana (i don't think it is), it says on CostaFarms.com:
Note: Corn plant is poisonous; keep it away from curious children or pets that may nibble the foliage.
i really dont think it is a Draceana. if you google image search it, they are skinny, long, not dark green with light green vertical stripe, and mine doesn't have the wood base/trunk like all the others have...
and it's definitely not Hosta either....
its from CostaFarms and it's some type of...
I agree! im in the process of building him a custom screen cage! I put him in that tank until I finish his screen cage because it was better than the 5 gallon tank he was in!
I rescued this little guy from a local "mom and pop" pet store that was shut down due to animal abuse/neglect and horrible conditions.
The owner of the pet store had 6 chameleons in a 5 gallon tank, no uvb or basking lights, and hardly ever fed. The crickets they very seldom ate were almost...
Hello everyone!
I just rescued my first chameleon 3 days ago. The local "mom and pop" pet store he was in was shut down due to animal neglect/abuse and horrible conditions.
Anyways, my girlfriend has this plant in the house and I'm not sure if its safe or not!
