Agreed. I was recently at PetSmart because my local reptile store didn't have any crickets and I over heard an employee selling a woman an adult male veiled chameleon. He recommend a large Exo Terra! It makes me so angry that they can't get their facts straight!!
I was at my local reptile store and I found this beautiful captive bred baby dwarf Jackson's chameleon. I asked one of the employees about it and he said that they only require UVB. Is this true? Thanks :)
So, next week is the Reptile Super Show in San Diego. Through research I've found that there won't be very many males of any kind. I really only have $200 for a chameleon and I would love to get a panther chameleon, even a female! I hear that females sometimes end up with egg binding and die...
So, I got my veiled chameleon, Darwin, at the Reptile Super Show last January. I forgot how old he was when I bought him. Here are some pics:
Thanks :)
So, in a couple of months I may be getting another chameleon. I don't want one that tends to be aggressive (like a veiled). I'm thinking between a panther (Nosy Be), a Jackson's, and a carpet. Which one is a nice small size and (again) doesn't tend to be aggressive?? Thanks :)
Ya I understand that it can be stressful. It's just that I don't want to have an aggressive adult male when I take him out for cleaning/health checks. Thanks :)
