Im not really sure I know what your question is. You spray painted an enclosure for your chameleon and it is killing the crickets? Is your chameleon in the cage now? How long ago did you spray paint it and what kind of spray paint did you use? (name brand? type?)
Day 9
Got a little handling time in today, surprised he walked right onto my hand after about a minute of it being in his enclosure, seems like he's warming up to me :)
Hahaha mine did, he was origanally on the top of the enclosure and circled around to the side onto a vine, onto a branch and came over to the leaf all with his eyes locked on the cricket, and then he zapped it from the leaf which is what the video is.
Oh gotcha. Thanks for the information :) I knew not to use it all the time just didn't know why... now I know lol. So this does contain D3... so that means it is okay to use frequently right?
Day 8
"talk to the tail"
Yeah, that does stink. maybe next time around, right? :) haha I'm really glad reptigeek came up with this awesome idea! Once finished it will be a great thread!
I don't see it anywhere but this is the only one in several pet stores that I could find that didn't say "with D3" on the front of it. Could you guys help me out? Also just curious, why do we need one without D3 for regular feedings and one with D3 for monthly use? Why can't we use D3 all the...
I have a baby veiled chameleon about 2-3 months and is a male... he HATES when I try to take him out of his enclosure but is totally fine once out and climbing around on my hand. I came across this blog by psychobunny... I tried the hand feeding today and had success on my first try. Just read...
WHOA! those Hoehnelii chameleons are very cool!! I've never seen one before.. look sort of like dinosaurs haha. anyway welcome to the forum! this place is awesome and the people here are very helpful and friendly :) I learned a lot from this forum already
Yeah holding the crickets don't bother me but I can't feed my cham roaches because they really make me squeamish lol I would be constantly worrying about them escaping into my house... yuck!!
silkworms? I thought about buying them for him but cant find them at any of my local pet shops. Any recommendations on places to get them fairly cheap online? I don't need a ton of them... If he eats 1/4" and a some 1/2" crickets now what size should I order?
