So got him back from te be this afternoon. The gave him 3 liquid injections. He seems better but still weak. The doc said he has some liver damage but he isn't sure how bad. And he was also dehydrated. I am supposed to give him a quarter of a Tums twice a day and I need to be force feeding...

I dont think it should be used as the main diet. I usually mix 2 pellets in with his veggies.

If its not good I won't use it. I just saw someone else on this thread suggest the pellets so I thought I would ask before I started using it.

So I left him at the vet this morning so they could try to stabilize him. They called back and said they would have to give him a couple o the fluid injections. They said there is liver damage. He will tell me when i get him how to try and help that. And hopefully he gets better by Monday or...

At the vet right now. Couldn't wait for their appointment time. Just sitting in a checkup room now waiting.

Becuase he has been in shed the last 2 weeks almost, I have been misting him more then normal. He also has a dripper set up all the time. So he has plenty o chances to drink, so why would he not be drinking?

I was using potatoes and carrots to gutload the last couple weeks. After reading this I now know the potatoes are no good but one of the posts said tortoise pellets are good. I have Mazuri tortoise pellets. Would those and carrots and sweet potatoes be a good mix?
