I didn't see that cage size. I have a baby panther in a 2x2x4 also, with a reptisun 5.0, but it is a T5HO, so it is putting out higher levels of UV. In this case, a 10.0 might provide better penetration, or as I said, a 5.o in T5HO may also be appropriate.
+1 Although I'm really not a fan of most crosses. I do eventually hope to cross a blue on blue Ambanja with a true blue Nosy Be. Knowing this guy is at least part Faly, makes me think that he probably has a much lower chance of passing on genes for colors that I am not looking for. What I would...
Also, baby chams are said to be fallproof. Because of their little mass and surface area at that size, their terminal velocity is so low that they could fall from 100 feet (in theory) and be fine. If he continually takes hard falls, then you might have reason to worry.
I'm not saying it is a bad thing to start keeping babies that young outdoors. But I personally would wait till he's a bit older and stronger, maybe even a subadult before he is left out unsupervised.
Yep, the awesome product created by Tom Kilgour, who I'm sure will chime in. So, how do you use it? I have a Nosy Be so I use the original formula. Anyway, I dust with it weekly on top of using it on my gutload. I've tried it on various fruits and veggies and I've found that the crickets go nuts...
certainly the case. D3 especially freaks me out because unfortunately I lost my first cham to a D3 overdose. He was a little Nosy Be just like Hawkeye here. The breeder had me using Rep-Cal w/D3 6 days a week.
Alright, because, it comes and goes in seconds. I also googled gular edema and in all of those chams, the bulging was in a different region. Plus, he has been very active, seemingly happy, and eating heartily lately. So now, I am confident that he is just putting on a little weight. I need to...
Sorry they are blurry but it was tough to be gently restraining him in one hand and taking the pic with the other. I noticed it seems slightly puffy around his jawline and a few times he hesitated to chew & swallow after shooting crickets, which he hadn't done before. Also, I noticed the...
So I've had my new nosy be for 2 and a half weeks now, and he has grown a little bit, however, I noticed his neck is starting to look a little thicker and puffier than I remember. I notice that when he turns his head, a slight neck roll of skin pops out between his jaw and shoulder. Ive only had...
