Is it okay to give my baby Veiled Reptivite with D3 twice a month instead of giving him Calcium with D3 twice a month and regular Reptivite w/o D3 twice a month? Note that I am aware that feeders should be dusted with calcuim without D3 on a daily basis. I'm just wondering if I can kill 2 birds...
Thank you sooo much for this idea! I am a new owner of a baby veiled cham and couldn't figure out how to drain and dispose of the water inside of his enclosure. I searched this forum for an idea. Most enclosures were shoddily rigged operations and looked not so nice. Your idea is cheap, easy and...
Oh, that's a basking bulb. I also have a Reptisun 5.0 UVB. This pic was taken a little after sundown. I clicked on the basking bulb briefly to have some lighting in order to take pics of the enclosure. I turned it on for a minute so people could better see the inside of my setup. :) Tesla slept...
I mist 3 times daily and use a dripper throughout the day, also. :) Yes, he was shipped. I would be a little traumatized if I were shipped across the country inside of a small plastic container. Poor baby. His poops look normal. They're not runny and the urate isn't yellow or orange. I'm going...
I received a baby Veiled from LLL Reptile last Wednesday. He has only been eating 1-5 crickets daily. I've read on this forum that other baby chams are devouring 10-20 crickets daily. I've done lots of research, spoke to a Herp Vet and read through this forum(which has been extremely helpful)...
Nice! I got the idea for my set up from someone on this forum. The lavatory combo (includes the sink) was pretty cheap. It was $45 at home depot. :) It looks nice and neat and works really well. I can also store things inside of the cabinet.
Thanks, you guys! I figured it out. I removed the PVC bottom and just put my terrarium screen under the enclosure. It sits on top of a lavatory. The water drips right through the terrarium screen, into the sink and drains into the bucket inside of the cabinet below. It's working great. :D
Why are these cages made with a PVC bottoms? It is known that chameleon enclosures need drainage to ensure the animal's health. I ordered this enclosure online and had no clue that there was a PVC bottom and that I would have to "rig" something up for drainage and hope for the best. Finding a...
I wonder if I can get a replacement top panel, which is screen, from Zoo Med. I could just remove the PVC bottom and replace it with the replacement screen panel.
I have a 16 inch Ficus plant inside of it. It doesn't create enough weight to make a dip in the bottom. I even have some smooth rocks inside of the pot to cover the soil. I don't know what to do.
My fiance and I received a baby Veiled Chameleon from LLL Reptlie 2 days ago. We have small Reptibreeze cage with a PVC bottom. I searched through this site to see how other cham owners solved the drainage issue. We decided to buy a bathroom vanity combo to put the enclosure on top of and a...
