Thanks man! I can only guess what he'll do after the next one  Not completely, but like 95% I'd say. His aim is still not great, but now that I think back on it he's never really been much of a sharpshooter. I've seen him make some pretty long shots, especially when the food is loose, but...
I guess it just seems like a lot because you got Cooper, Sage and now this guy all within the last six months or so. Eleven sounds like a full time job. How many do you have now?
Hahaha that's awesome. I don't care because I dropped a cup with like 20 of them on the second week I had Aesop and they ALL escaped. Since then it's just kinda like "...dang. It got away."
I've had the arm hair thing happen, but I opted to rip it out rather then risk him hurting his tongue. As far as the original question goes, the best thing I can come up with would be to go in and clip off the section she's stuck to, small enough so she can reel her tongue in, but big enough...
I wish I could help, my Aesop is just getting over an eye issue himself so I can relate. I don't know of what it could be other than the lights :( Here's hoping it clears up, he's really gorgeous.
Honestly I might talk to someone higher up in your school's administration as well. Someone who doesn't know the basic requirements for keeping an animal should probably not be teaching a class on it.
From what I understand, jacksons like it a little more on the humid side. It also depends on the climate though. I do ten minutes every other hour from seven to seven, which works for me, but I'm in a really dry area. You kind of just have to play with it and see
Yeah me too haha. It's nice to be able to chat with a fellow cham lover, but...you're The Vet. Going to see the vet pretty much sucks, unless it's just a physical. I can't even image ointments, the drops were such a pain. His whole turret usually ended up soaked before I got one in. I found it...
I don't think it is a problem. Aesop had a very similar thing when he was younger, a pale patch right at the base of his tail, and the vet said not to worry about it. It's faded quite a bit after a few sheds. Better pics would be good though, just to make sure.
I'm really sorry for your loss. That would be horrible.
Your husbandry looks like it was pretty good, although I think 36x36x18 is too small for a veiled of that age, and glass is not recommended for airflow reasons. I don't know if that contributed though.
Gah! Aesop almost gave me a heart attack! I left his door open to let him freerange as he pleased, stopped paying attention for a bit, and when I came back to check on him he was nowhere to be found! I checked all the usual spots, all the unusual spots, and eventually started semi dismantling...
