it is a digital thermo w/probe.....the room temp is 68, so temp went below room temp after misting, but i realized that i could move the light about an inch closer, temp did start to rize, but then i misted, so dont know how high it will get yet.....85 is ideal, correct?
ty for your response, i tried Walmart,no luck, & i am from Canada so i only order from the US on bigger orders to help on shipping charges, but at least your suggestion gave me hope that it isnt a special size, so i will try other hardware stores(or whatever stores that carry lightbulbs are called)
yes, it seems to be various, i posted quite a few times in my 1st month here, & it was pretty much a month to the day that i got promoted, while someone else who had only 15 posts was also a member after about a month. Im sure the time frame isnt the only criteria tho
Hi again, i am using a 60W bulb for basking, & the highest temp i have seen is 77, falls to about 65 after misting & takes about an hour to rise to 77 again! I looked at wallyworld for a 75W but it went from 60 to 100. The light is about as close as it can get, should i buy an expensive reptile...
Hi ty for the responses. Although no one had commented on the lack of poop, i will update that! Hera had a BIG poop, & Zeus pooped again, so that was 2 days in a row!:D It was a huge relief(so them as well, i am sure:p)
I just got my 1st 2 chameleons on Monday so have not come across that situation yet, but i am pretty sure you have to ask someone responsible to look after them, there is no other way around it, they need continuous care
No matter how prepared you think you are, things come up that tou dont have an answer to.
1) My biggest concern is a lack of poop. Zeus finally had a BIG healthy poop yesterday, but as far as i can tell, Hera has yet to poop in yer cage, & i have had them since Monday!
2)Zeus shed yesterday...
I have no experience with other plants, but i ended up getting Ficus Benjemina for my chams, & i think they are great! They filled the cages perfectly, are quite hardy, & will get watered on their own with the mistings & dripper! No worries about forgetting to look after it:D
What I do on a daily basis you can read about in my food diary blog:

Hey Sandra, i was reading your feeding blog & i noticed you tried dubia's at one point! I heard we couldnt get them in Canada, so does that mean you can...
I searched for a certain answer regarding gutloading, & eventually found 1 that partially answered me. I have had my crickets for over a week, but because i just got my chams yesterday, the special gutloading has only been done for 3 days. At 1st i separated about 25 crickets into a smaller...
i need my wife to help me with transferring the pics from camera to computer & she is not here right now, their names are Zeus & Hera!(so original, i know;))
Today was a stressful day for more than just my 2 new panthers! Things did not go as planned, but i finally got them home! Thank you Harry from Chroma, they are gorgeous! Zeus got extremely dark about 1/2 hour after i put him in his cage, but he was a lot brighter an hour later. Hera took to...
