Rescues are always special, good for you guys!
50 bucks? I would do it if the owner promises to not get another without proper research lol who am I kidding I would do it regardless ;)
Goodluck, when you get him post pictures of him in his happy new home!
What people are concerned about is metabolic bone disease it can be caused by several things like improper suppliments, lack of UV or even temperatures too low. Here are a couple links for you to thumb through

Hello welcome to the forums. I agree you have some husbandry issues and may be the root of your problem. You have a lot of great info but here are a couple of my favorite links :)

How old is he? I agree with Kara he looks good! My Tamatave male doesn't always show insane colors.
He could also be going through a funk, my Mitso did at about 8 months now that he has matured he is a stud lol
Chameleons are the only reptiles I keep. I also have my hands full with the various feeders I have too (love my bugs!). I actually love all creatures I even feel bad feeding off bugs
I'm not sure what catagory I fall into Girly girl or Tom boy but I do have an undying love for high...
LOL funny that they have such big personalities when they are so small. I had the same problems and after seeing a few bruised toes and legs I just seperated them into bins of 5-6 according to size and it seemed to do the trick.
