Chameleons shouldn't nap any amount of time during the day. If a chameleon its sleeping during the day its usually due to a husbandry or health issue.

I was lucky enough to get one of Julie's (chams1) babies, and man is he adorable :D I got this guy last night after a long day of shipping h**l, he was left behind in Memphis and I had to pick him up 8 hours later then the usually delivery time. He was worth every bit of trouble too ;)...

I second that, those are burn blisters don't be surprised if his spikes fall off :o. You should be able to call a vet a just buy Silva dine with out a prescription if not even a polysporin would help some. Op hopefully you can get this guy a bigger cage soon, being that close to a halogen...
