This is exactly why we have the judges in place. It's a photo contest, not a popularity contest. People are essentially winning money here, and just because people are "excited" to see a species in a photo doesn't mean that the photo should indeed win. It's the overall composition that matters...
Casidonacid,
How do we know that a bunch of people weren't pulled together to vote for one photo in a public vote either? You just have to go with the flow. I highly doubt this scenario (or yours) to be true though.
Just so everyone is clear on the point structure here, votes count, but don't...
Jan,
Just as in any election, votes matter. I feel that Royden has hit the nail on the head with his post. A lot of people will vote for photos that are the funniest or "by chance" scenarios. No matter what kind of camera you have, you can always try and be "artsy" and compose/frame the shot...
Justin,

That cham seems to do...
Hey, man. Thanks! I tend to dig him a lot too. His colors are pretty cool and sometimes the camera just doesn't do him justice.
Haha! George is the cham with a personality! He's fun to watch hunt down food and always active, yet predictable. He's a favorite to everyone that has seen him thus...
It will wear off after a bit. It's natural for things to cloud up if you have a door closed in a small confined area, but the stuff that you smell or provokes the gag sense you have WILL wear off after a few uses. It's not harmful to the chams though...I had the same thing with mine the first...
Well, today was a 5 hr. cham dedicated day of cleaning out cages, re-organizing, cleaning out bins for crickets and rotating sun time. After I cleaned each cage I nabbed some pics of some of the chams before going back "home." Enjoy. :)

This first pic is a new male to the...
