Patience is a must. However, I have some that just never warmed up to hand feeding or tong feeding either. Some are shy and some are super friendly. Good luck.
Another problem with the fish tanks is that without the above mentioned air flow problems, it also increases the chances of water not drying out completely after sprayings. Your enclosure needs to do this to prevent respiratory infections.
Always happy to see people making sure to be well informed and educated before attempting to breed! Good job! I have been breeding Panthers and Veileds for about 2yrs now. I must agree that I would never sell to pet store for the following reasons: they are not very skilled in the care of these...
I agree 100%!!! I breed Panthers and Veileds and I tell all my buyers to regularly check out the forum. Good to see a forum full of experienced and caring owners and breeders!

I've been keeping up with previous entries and it sounds like you are a very kind hearted and caring pet owner. Also, thumbs up to all who offered excellent input as to helping the poor little guy out. Really disappointing to hear about a breeder so indifferent to making things right. My advice...
It is really important to make sure the cage gets a chance to dry out well between mistings and especially before lights out. It is a possibility that they can get a respiratory infection without doing so. Better safe than sorry.:)
It's a great idea to put a laying bin into her cage now so that it is available to her when she needs it regardless if she is spotted up or not. I keep one in with my females at all times. It is unlikely she will show yellow spots if she hasn't been bred with a male. They show up almost...
