I think maybe I'll do both. Where do you get bat and seabird guano?
Reptile guy thanks for the link to order the worms. I know my friend uses them in her composting soil.
No, I won't be down there for two more weeks but they did agree to give them up if I found a rescue to take them. I did some calling around today but most places were closed for the weekend. I will try to find a place on Monday to take them sooner than I can get there. I will still try to adopt...
So then work castings are safe to use? Do they ever come out of the pots? Does your Cham eat them? Don't they come out every time it mists thinking that it's raining? How many do you put in a pot? Last question. Do you get them at a bait shop?
Funny. That doesn't work for me. I do the opposite. I back off crickets for a few days and then reintroduce them. Then they are new again. I agree though not to do only worms. You could try roaches, stick bugs, or blue bottle flies. Try to mix it up as much as possible so they don't get bored...
Mister on a timer is the best way to keep up humidity. A 100 watt sounds a bit high but you will have to play with it until you get your temps in the right zone. 10.0 UVB for a panther is a bit high also. They are meant for desert species. Some people do use them but usually in a bigger...
I have a 7 month old also. My Cham has slowed down on the Phoenix worms. I was getting the sense that they were too much work. He had to shoot his tongue about 30 times to feel full. Defiantly try them though. They are very high in calcium.
I only keep the hibiscus in the outdoor enclosure so it's sunshine level hasn't changed. I keep a lot of fancy hibiscus and the are pretty heavy feeders. I'm not referring to the red and pink ones that are everywhere in Florida. I have plenty of those in my yard that I never fertilize and they...
I love to use hibiscus in my enclosure but I've noticed my plants really decline once I cant fertilize them. Is there any kind of fertilizer that is safe? Worm castings? Fish fertilizer? Any ideas?
Stick bugs, green banana roaches, and blue bottle flies are favorites in my house. Butterworms never fail but it's a treat. They are high in calcium but also high in fat.
I would not use the flukers. I don't use any water crystal, just orange slices, apples, carrots etc. they will get enough from the wet gut load. I try to use oranges every time for extra hydration.
They are no longer in business. They just disappeared. Try eBay maybe? Or post an ad in the classified saying you are looking for one. You should search diy rain dome. Some members have made some really incredible ones.
I live in Florida so we also have a guy come every three months to spray. I take my Cham outside while the guy is here but we haven't had any issues either.
As for surviving at room temperature. I live in Florida so I'm not sure about Dubias but green bananas and Discoids both died at room temp...
