Hello and welcome to the forum. By the looks of things I'd get your cham to the vets just to play it safe, being they are fragile creatures and things can head south quickly if not treated. Just my 2 cents.
When doing the shower be sure the water is between 75-80 degrees . Longer mistings and a dripper should help your chameleon from becoming dehydrated.if
Thank you for the support and condolences. An.autopsy was done by my vet today on Sid, his cause of continued intestinal prolapses,it was caused by a inoperable tumor in his track.
Sid passed away today one day shy of his second birthday. It's hard to believe he is gone. I am completely and totally devastated. It's hard to look at his enclosure and know he's gone. R.I.P little buddy .
Can o crickets are dehydrated, leaving very little nutrition for your cham. Most likely the cham will not touch them. They are live insects eaters. Some well gutloaded crickets is the way to go as well as, silkworms, hornworms, and roaches.
I keep my crickets in a 10-20 tall with a screened top, lots of egg crates,a small dish with water crystals and a small dish of rephasy bug burger(changed daily) and some paper towel tubes and have little to no loss.Air flow and temps may be the issue..hard saying though i struggled a short...
I have a monsoon that has been running for the last year flawlessly, for both my chams enclosures .The key to any mister is using r/o water.Just my 2 cents.
one thing i notice in the help form was his basking temp is on the high side for a youngster, i would try bring it down in the low 80's . Otherwise he wil over heat and become dehydrated.
