    Hula the Panther Chameleon

Here is an updated photo of Hula taken this morning. He may not be one of those panthers with striking colours (except during his sleep) but I am still proud of him.

Is it possible to go through 1000 crickets in a month with one chameleon?

My family keeps nagging at me for the amazon night symphony with the chirping. What I do now is to feed all the males first.

Is it possible to go through 1000 crickets in a month with one chameleon?

A few dead is still fine. You should be worried if you start to clear 10-20 mushy ones every day. I doubt its the paper towel roll, I change mine about once a month.

Is it possible to go through 1000 crickets in a month with one chameleon?

I would recommend more egg crates for space. In my case, I had to clear many dead crickets every day, it was such a chore. They stopped dying when I don't cover with the lid. Btw, my lid does have a big ventilation hole with a screen mesh cover.

    Yemen Chameleon - Day One

In my container where my crickets are kept, there is a cardboard tube (from paper towels). There will be crickets who will congregate in this tube. When dusting crickets, I will pick up the tube and shake the required amount of crickets into a dusting container (just a regular one from Ikea). If...

    Panther Chameleon - Male? (Huey)

The shop sold her as an ambilobe or sambava and can't confirm the locale because the batch of babies was mixed. He did try his best to select a male for me but it turned out to be a female.

Could Huey (Panther Chameleon) be gravid?

Thanks guys! I suppose there is no way to control your female from pooping into the laying bin right? Just remove the poop on a daily basis?

Could Huey (Panther Chameleon) be gravid?

She is about 10 months old now. I have not paired her with any male so far. Does she look gravid? She looks darker in the second photo because she is camera shy.

    Veiled Chameleon Butt Issue

Update regarding Karma. Brought him to the vet on Monday. Trace was right about it being a large sperm plug. After the vet extracted it, I was shocked by the size of it. It was an inch long. Now that it was removed, there is still some swelling, but it should subside soon. Was asked to put some...

I am going with a male based on the bump at the vent. I am not confident in sexing baby panther accurately yet and this thread is useful for practice.
