Even though you figured out your current problem- be over dramatic in the future about scrapes. My veiled had a very tiny scrape on his chin and I thought I had treated it well enough... It turned into an abscess that had to be lanced. Since reptiles do not create puss to flush out their wounds-...
Glass terrariums aren't a big deal, you do have to be very careful about the limited drainage. I would still say that they are better suited for montane species such as a Jackson's. If you ever have trouble keep humidity in a mesh enclosure- you can fasten visqueen or a shower curtain around 3...
Mr.P did have MBD as a baby, so you will see that has legs are swayed (This is a good example of how Petco takes care of their animals.)
Although I do not like Petco- Mr.P is one handsome veiled if I must say so!
When my panther was 3-5 months old he had shed 4 times!
I was so surprised because my veiled was once a month. It took my panther while to get coloration, they actually thought he may be a girl. but now he is so vibrant !
Yeah generally when my veiled even tries to gape- it's only at people he has never seen before. It's always as bluff as well, I can still reach my hand in whole he is mad and he stops and gets on my hand. So i know it has a lot to do with trust and dominance. You have to show him that he can...
Thanks!
His greens and yellows just get brighter with a every shade, but I have still never seen him fire up. He is to docile to even get mad, I'm hoping when he sees another male that he will show off.
Wow he is reallllllllly upset!
I would suggest not putting your camera in his face though. No matter how nice a veiled is- they do not like foreign objects next to their face. You are also reaching into his house with the camera, veiled's are territorial and doing this stresses them out...
Only 10 months old and he is a stud!
He recently started showing a large amount of red through his chin and legs!
If his resting colors are looking this great, I can't wait to see him fired up.
