    oh jeez. I turn off the UVB and white heat lamp, but I turn on a red heat lamp. My house temp is about 72.

    I've read different views on this subject. My opinion is that no substrate at all would be the way to go. Easier clean up, less chance of mold and bacteria. Other than aesthetics, is there a need for substrate at all?
