    Very Strange Behavior

This is my own personal preference, but others may agree. I would make that basking area pretty bare. Only having several branches at several different levels. Nice set up! I just wouldn't have so much stuff touching the top of the cage. Especially in the basking area. Veileds burn their casques...

    veiled chameleon colors?

Jannb is right. Small time breeders are the way to go! She's in Florida and my best friend/ neighbor bought a veiled baby from her. We live in Minnesota. The baby veiled is insanely nice. Which isn't all that common in veileds. You'll see a lot of posts about cranky veileds. Lots and lots of...

    Help 1st time owner

I agree with carol. Appears to have a spur- which would indicate male. Age would be easier to determine with picture of chameleon on your hand. Health wise he/she looks to be nice and hydrated. Limbs are good and straight from what I can see in the pictures. So overall looks healthy to me. If...

    New to owning Chameleon

My question would be are you gut loading your feeders? I'd flip your feeders around. Wax worms and meal worms should be occasionally. Crickets should be your staple as they are very easy to gut load and move quickly which attracts the chameleon. Supplementation is the next really important...

    Jarl x Val clutch 11-18-2013 / 12/9/2013 (kammerflage kreations)

How's all the clutch mates doing? It's been awhile since we have updated each other. Mookie joe currently had round worms. Ugh stupid bugs! Thank goodness for panacur. You'd never know it looking at him though. He weighs 110 grams. I imagine once the worms are gone he'll gain some more weight :D

    First time with parasites

I took both to the vet, a very respected reptile vet in my area, brought some feces with me from both chams. He did a flotation and swabbed their vents. Found the parasites I was seeing, identified them- then gave me panacur for the treatment. I am trusting that he knows what he is doing so i...

    First time with parasites

You're right I have no idea what I'm looking at or doing lol I just seen worms and knew we had a problem, he goes to the vet tomorrow morning. Both chams are going actually. Just to be safe, because I guarantee both have them. In fact- I'm thinking all four have them. My friend and I have four...

So I decided to try my hand at a fecal- I just bought my son a microscope and he was more then willing to look at poop through it. unfortunately- we have parasites. They have never had them before - we always got a clean bill of health from the vet. Glad I decided to check him out. Just curious-...

How am i doing - New panther owner?

Just so you know, chameleons that get outdoor exposure every day do not need as many supplements. Now as to what supplements are cut back when given lots of sun light I am not sure on that. I live in a state where we have very short summers and long very cold winters. I know that friends I have...

Open mouth panther chameleon and other health questions

More foliage, less heat. He's probably hanging out under the fogger because he's to hot. How long have you had Marty? I'm unsure about the stick biting deal. Mine has never done that.
