Hi I have a small screen cage that I have placed in a chair along side a bushy tree, in the shade. I am here in North Texas. Full grown male veiled....
I did this because I think my UVB is weak, I need to buy a gauge/new bulb.. Later today I will do that.
I Just want to be sure how long...
I use the bamboo, I stick them into the soil of my plants and at the tops of some I use bread ties to connect them horizontally, to make basking areas, and highways. My female likes to sleep on the verticle stakes.
It has been 3 months from Roxy's first clutch was laid, she does not seem to have eggs but she is scratching at the potted plant soil. Do I need to get the bin ready even though she does not seem to have eggs?
Thank you so much for the help. I am eager to be the one with a table full of baby chameleons... Not sure how my family would feel if I took over the dining room!
We have our first batch of veiled eggs, 41 laid on 3/1/2012, placed in the closet.
How soon after they emerge will they need to eat, 1 hour? 12? I am wondering if I need to keep ff's on hand even though I really dont know when they will hatch.
How soon do you move them from the hatchrite...
I have a barrel shaped spring loaded mesh hamper that has a velcro closing lid. I added vines and ivy with zip ties to the sides.
When I go out to garden or water I take him out with me. I have even taken him next door to meet the neighbors.
I had it placed on top of a plastic hood light, it does not get hot and because it runs the width of the top, it distributed the weight, also, I only filled it to about 3 gallons.
thanks so much for the help, I was not sure if the extra light was going to hurt my chams, but I figure if it is on only during the day, and it is the same as daylight, it should be ok.
Is there a time when this is not true? My eggs were moved around by accident when they were under one month old, not sure if they got flipped. That was a month ago, none have shown mold or dents.. I am hopeful at that age there was no damage. Can you advise?
We bought our Rico from Tiki Tiki at the Dallas show, when I had questions, they were always available to me by phone. You live in their town, I am sure they can help too.
Cup hooks were named in the 50's, they would be added to the inside of the cabinet, bottom of the shelve above to hang the coffee cups to save space.
We have remodeled more than our share of 50's homes, they all had them..
we have not made one, we were leaving for the weekend and the petstore was out of the little dripper. I bought this at walmart, worked great, plenty of water for a couple of days, adjustable flow, light weight on the top of the screen cage. And cheap, less than $10...
