My female veiled will not drink if she can see anything/anybody. I mist by hand 5 times a day and have a dripper running constantly, she is hydrated now, but its still scary not seeing them drink
I use reptaid for that reason. Once every 2 or 3 months or so i run each of my Veileds on a treatment, I have been contemplating watering it down and giving it to the pygmies, but idk about all that...
Oh and as far as the whole shed thing, i have noticed that my Veileds sheds do take a...
I use bed-a-beast as my top layer, Hyrdoton, and charcoal for drainage layers.
I have heard that with soil if you over water it can make mud in the tank, this is why i chose bed-a beast, and because it seems to hold moisture better.
It is made of "chip board" which is very easily damaged when exposed to water. I also read on their site that you the buyer are responsible for sealing the wood and that the 2 year warranty does not cover damage from water.
Just saying...
I just saw them with pennywise :-)
I really enjoy:
Authority Zero, Guttermouth, Pennywise, anti-flag, NOFX, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mustard Plug, Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish, Evergreen Terrace, Casey Jones, Norma Jean and Rancid to name a few.
Very true!
It is very confusing our there with so many different sources of information...im so thankful for the internet and its ability for us to find information at the drop of a hat...but with that information one needs the ability to sort the crap out of the good stuff. This is why i am...
Im going to say this as a once ill-informed pet store shopper.
When someone at a pet store, who is suposedly a knowledgeable person, tells a person something, that person has no reason not to beleive them...untill the shopper has a sick chameleon on their hands. IMO it IS THE SELLERS (be it...
It would be impossible or females to only be owned by breeders. For example what would happen if someone had a clutch of 50 eggs and 30 happened to be female? What would happen to those females of a breeder wouldent want to buy them.
I do agree with you that most sellers of chameleons fail to...
IMO Chameleons are actually behind an international conspiracy too kill off the human race...
No really, most chameleons really do hate people, they don't like to be handled, they dont like to be looked at ect...
How old/what species is your guy? I know as my male veiled got older he got...
They were dropped off recently by someone who was no longer able to take care of them. Normally they are good with reptiles, but i have to agree this is sub-par. I am sure that they will separate them once they can get another cage set up.
He said it was there 20 minutes before i got it, then the egg endured a 3 minute car ride to my place and then it sat on my dining room table for a few minutes while i got it all together...it kept the same orientation the whole time. (i kept it in my hand while driving)
the egg is solid...
Why soil, idk i was just kind of "winging it"...
funny story about this egg...i was at the pet store buying crickets and i saw eggs in the leopard gecko cage...i told the guy and he pulled it out and gave it to me and said "Want an egg, we cant incubate them here..."
They kept one female...
