My veiled has a crooked horn

Are you sure you have a veiled? They don't normally have horns. Jackson's have the horns. Do you mean his casque is growing crooked?

    Live Plant for Approval

Hello, I looked through the Live plant database, but I didn't find this plant I bought. I have not put it in the cage yet as I don't want to put it in until I get it passed by this forum. Anyone know if this plant is ok. I bought it from Home Depot. They called it a Spider Ficus, but I am...

    Night Walker?

I heard my Chameleon up at night a few times. However he was in pain. This went on for a few days, then he prolapsed his colon. How are his washroom habits? Any signs of dehydration? A chameleon should never be up at night. My cham had to be put down unfortunatley. If this continues, I...

    Silkworms and Butterworm

Thanks Sandra, I will certainly give that a shot. Raising a small Chameleon is very tough and time consuming, don't get me wrong it is worth all of the time I am putting in, but man oh man they are tough. I can't wait until he is bigger so it is a tad easier ;)

    on floor

Hello, From what I am reading, you are saying you are only dusting twice a week with rep-cal. I would say you should be dusting with Calcium almost every feeding. Your cham still seems pretty young from the pics, my guess is 4-7 month old range. Dust your food every feeding or every 2nd...

    Silkworms and Butterworm

Right now my little guy is on Cricket hiatus. He won't eat them, I just bought a bundle of 500...ther goes $30 down the drain. This is why I have to use meal worms...I am not too sure if they are meal worms or super worms, they both look the same it is hard to tell. I buy the big super worms...

    Silkworms and Butterworm

I will do a vast variety of bugs when he gets older. He is only about 4 months old and maybe 5 inches in length including tail. A little skinny at the moment, so I am starting to give him some wax worms, not many 2-4 a week for 2 weeks only. As for super worms they are a little too big for...

    Silkworms and Butterworm

Hey All, I just wanted to ask this question: Is it ok to keep Silks and Butters as your main staple? I currently use crix, and mealworms, but everyone says that silks and butters are very healthy. Lots of calcium, easy to digest (as a bonus they don't make noise), but are they fatty? That...

    New Cage with real plants...comments?

I wish I could take the credit for the cage, but I can't too much of a conscience lol. My boss made it for me, I just asked him if he could, gave him the dimensions, and blueprints and he went to town. I would like to think I made it lol. As for the plant I had to prune it before putting it...

    New Cage with real plants...comments?

There is a 4 month old Tamatave in there at the moment. He is in one of the pictures. The cage is 24x18x18 The cham is dish fed...no free roams. When I use crix I clip the back legs so they can't escape the dish. As for the plant, this is all I can find that is around here at this...

    Are these 2 plants safe?

Actually this will be my first time using real plants....so I would like to get ones that are LOW MAINTENACE...I am not how you say "one with the green thumb" if you know what I mean. The good thing is the drip system run off will go into the soil so none of the water will be wasted :D I...

    Are these 2 plants safe?

That is good to know, Thank you. So the burgandy one I will avoid due to the sap, and the Croton.....I will just avoid. The ficus we have here are very small and you have to grow them yourself....that will take forever. I will have to check home depot as everything at Walmart was too...

    Crickets

When I got him, he was still a baby like 1 month old. He was eating pinheads and 1/8" Crix. When I got him home, he wouldn't eat crix at all. So I put meal worms in front of him and boom he hammered them. Ever since then he won't eat crix. I put everything I feed to him in a feeder...
