    Trans Veiled?????/

This is probably a really dumb question but I am going to ask anyway...do you have to worry about Sunburns (if you take them outside to sun) on the parts without pigmentation? Candy

    Yoda!

That is an amazing picture. Beautiful subject as well. I also like the placement of the chameleon. What kind of camera and flash? What kind of lens? These guys have no idea just how beautiful they are. Candy

    My Moon Shot!

My friend was leaving around 5:30pm last night and myhusband and I were helping get stuff loaded into her car. I kept saying how freaking big the moon was. My husband just said "you notice the wierdest things". Not sure how you can't notice a moon that looks as big as the house it is rising next...

    Have a question regarding husbandry

All good points to back up my argument that a glass tank will not be sufficent for a chameleon. Candy

    Have a question regarding husbandry

The only modification (if you could call it that) was put the fans in the back of the tank and make a screen front that opens. He wouldn't have cut the glass or anything. Once I brought up the UVB situation...there was no longer an argument for using the aquarium. Candy

    Have a question regarding husbandry

WOW - you are the first person who actually got that. My friends on the dart frog forum say they always thought it said "Divine1". NO people!!!. I love to scuba dive. I don't think I am a divine one. I just showed my husband the post and he can't find a comeback...thanks everyone. I think...

    Have a question regarding husbandry

Ahhh never even thought about their reflection. Good point. No way to reflection proof a glass tank!! One other thought of mine was this...doesn't glass block UVB penetration? Won't the glass block some of the heat from the basking light as well? Candy

    Really sad....

I refuse to buy an animal of any kind from petsmart! The only consideration would be adopting a dog or cat from the pet adoption organization that uses petsmart as a facility. My only reason for visiting petsmart is for their wide variety of dog and cat food. They carry the kind of dog food...

    Have a question regarding husbandry

I have been reading this forum on keeping Veiled chameleons and leopard chameleons. In order to have a chameleon, I have to get rid of one of my aquariums. The 120g salt water is an absolute NO. The 5 poison dart frog vivs are an even bigger NO WAY. So that brings me to my 55g freshwater. It...

    Who likes spiders?

I have a few vivs with poison dart frogs in them and I keep their fruit flies in a closet that has a spider in every corner waiting for an escapee. I don't mind them as long as they stay in the corners and don't get too big. Candy

    New to the hobby

I would probably get crickets once or twice a week. I want to keep other staple food on hand at the house. I got my first wiff of crickets at Petsmart yesterday. I never knew what people meant when they said they stink (I thought bean beetles stunk until I smelled that). I have no problem at all...

    New to the hobby

Yeah I am thinking if I feed roaches, they are going to have to be cultured/stored under the bed or in the closet. My husband would scream like a girl if he found out I had roaches in the house. I think anything is better than those stinking crickets. Not to mention, my terribilis will love the...
