    Somebody please help me!!!

The good side is that you lost him at the right time of year, he should be able to survive if some animal doesnt get to him. Keep up the search every morning, as they are really active then. Good luck bud :)

    Exploding anus?!?!?

HI Everyone!! thanks for checkin this out. :o I have had a few chameleons and have never observed this behavior, yet oddly enough i feel like it may be normal. The chameleon that had this happen is a 6 month old ambilobe. He is doing really good. Eats well, drinks well, and growing nicely. I...

    panther chameleon urate question ?

like i said, that is an "extreme measure". it was something a vet told me to do when i adopted a severely dehydrated panther with a respiratory infection. he recommended this 2-3 times a week. for 2 weeks. It really helped to hydrate. this is just my experience......good luck :)

    interesting safe plant question??

hmmmm......can i come live in your greenhouse?? :D:D no but seriously, i dont think it would be a good idea. just my opinion. It is very common for panthers to occasionally chomp on vines and or natural plant items and the resulting effects will impede their natural behavior or growth...

    panther chameleon urate question ?

gotcha, didnt realize you had him on that regimen. They do level off a little bit. if you got him eating well then leave it alone. there is a slightly more extreme measure you can take if you really want to hydrate more. Buy a couple Goliath worms. inject them with a small syringe of water...

it definately LOOKS like eggs, cause impaction of that size would have other symptoms. i noticed this chameleon is new to you and im not sure if your diet is consisting of any insects at all or just veggies. you want her to have a predominantly insectivore diet. though greens will...

    panther chameleon urate question ?

    Somebody please help me!!!

JC thats a little extreme. i mean, i love my pets but to cut down 3 trees is way easier said than done. Im sure im not the only one thinking it, but your in jersey so if the night didnt get to em, the possums, raccoons, cats or birds proboly did. i am very sorry for your lose but i say you...

i know im not supposed to, but.........

time will tell..... and Bill, i was able to get him to eat from my hand by using this strategy. first off, do not try to hold the crickets with your fingers, for some reason chams take a closed finger approach as aggressive behavior, or have a tough time spotting the cricket at the...

The short answer......Definately will work.....But I just dont know if your gonna have an easy time keeping food items, heat and uvb equipment managable with that type of cage. it may not be worth the work. After all that cage is awesome and alone it will look great but your gonna need to...

i know im not supposed to, but.........

Hi all! :D thanks for the help in advance. I want to start by saying...... I understand, COMPLETELY, that chams are more like fish, a kind of "look and dont touch" kind of pet. I understand and respect that rule. Now, i have had many chameleons in the past that i was able to handle...

How can i stop him from...

i would get the basking spot another ten degrees higher, you can raise the branch in the basking area to accomplish this, and provide more branches closer to the top in order to help him down. i had a similar situation and those remedies worked well. :D

    What locale is this Panther?

Its a cross for sure, the almost florescent gives it away. Crosses are the best for color. Ambaja/ambilobe. check out screameleons.com. they have VERY similar crosses in that section. Either way he is sick!!!!!!!
