there is a way to candle light them... go in the closet with an egg and a candle. put the candle behind the egg and look through it... if its pink it mean that there is something growing.. im not sure what the other colors are.. maybe someone can help me out here.

hey jess!!! congrats.. i have two female tamatave's and over 60 eggs in the oven right now!!! if you need a male to breed i have a huge tamatave male. Let me know if you want to work something out. Would love to see the babies too as i have only seen full grown ones.
thats funny you mentioned that haha the other tamatave female is a nipped tail i call stubby. She has bred twice since i had the pair and the long tailed one will not breed. i have tried every thing possible.. it has to be something wrong with her.
I got two tamatave' females from some kid down south and one is a great breeder... bred twice now. the other will not breed. She shows receptive colors but will get angry as soon as our male is introduced.. we have tried everything to get her to breed. kept her solitary with no view of other...
You got lucky she isn't dead or hurt! Just because she is receptive does not mean to breed her.. its like with human children. Just because they can breed at 11 years old doesn't mean its good for them. Any breeder who cares about his animals waits until they are ready.
