That may be correct. lol I actually heard someone pronounce them that way the other day and that's how he pronounced them.. so I was standing there talking to him all while thinking "have I been pronouncing them wrong all along?!:o " lol
Just curious about how you guys pronounce all the chameleons names? Such as:
Veiled: Vay-ld
Nosey Be : No-zee Bee
I'm not sure about some of the other names but that's just to get started off, and I know that some people from different areas may differ on this but I'll leave that up to...
When I go into the petstores I make sure to get the crickets out of the larger bins that they have set up. Not sure if yours do or not but mine have a nice large bin that house hundreds of crickets then they put them in a plastic bag like you'd get with a fish and a piece of cardboard, they last...
Seems like a nice set-up to me, I'm not sure what else I can tell you information wise, if anything maybe try a more juicy feeder? Something that may bump his hydration up a bit. Nice juicy horn worm or something like that.
Sorry for both your losses,
could you fill this out for us https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/
In the format it's in it is easier for us to understand what set up you had exactly, and maybe check something that you may have missed or that the breeder forgot to mention to you...
the 5 minute ones seem pretty good, I'd say increase the small 10 second misting to maybe a minute or 2, that's if it's the start of dehydration and not another issue. Room humidity is 40% but what's the enclosure at?
what is your misting schedual? Are you doing it through the day or all at once? What would you say would be the orange/white ratio there.. I'd say since there is white, he's not dehydrated yet, but is slowly starting to become hydrated. sort of like super orange urine for humans is dehydrated...
You already posted this in the enclosure part of the forums, but I'll answer in both anyway.. here is why people don't use the CFLs

I liked the repti-carpet thing when I used it, get a big sheet have one dry one in the cage, that way when you clean one you can just replace it with the other and let the original dry.. keep it on rotation..
I wasn't happy with the repti-fogger but maybe it was just me, the fan in it...
I think some people do keep them as pets o.0
I personally like them, we get them in the summer here in Cali and I love catching them and feeding them the moths that are attracted to my porch light, fun watching them eat them. I'll feed them a few times, put them on a bush in my yard and let...
