You didn't seem rude at all. I was thinking about that and I figured I'd wait on getting him a chameleon. As a matter of fact I'm trying to get my hands on some Spectral pygs soon, so maybe he could be "co-owner" or something. :P
Would it be a good idea for me to purchase a R. brevicaudatus for my 10-year old brother? He's responsible and cares a lot about animals, and I was thinking about getting him a bearded pygmy in the future. What are your thoughts on that? What's the care difficulty of bearded pygs as opposed to...
Handsome Jack took two crickets from my hand this morning! I'm so excited about this and I'm really happy that the little guy's starting to come out of his shell! Now my goal is to work on helping him learn that people equals sun and food and good stuff. :D
Can anyone point me out to someone who breeds/sells Trioceros montium, T. quadricornis, or T. wiedersheimi? I'm considering a montane Trioceros species OR a pygmy chameleon for my next chameleon. Any thoughts, questions, comments?
This is great. I was pretty surprised at how much Handsome Jack cost us initially, but he's brought us (maybe just me) so much happiness it was totally worth it. :D
I'd definitely recommend a 5+ month old Jackson's. Handsome Jack is probably my favorite pet, and I usually can't pick favorites. Plus the young ones are the cutest thing ever with their nubby little horns and stuff. While Handsome Jack is my first "true" chameleon, I've heard Jackson's are...
He's starting to come out of his shell, which is pretty awesome. He still won't accept crickets from my hand, but he doesn't turn and RUN like he used to. I think soon my hand will no longer be The Evil Hand of Death and his feeder cup will no longer be The Evil Red Solo Cup of Death.
Here's some pictures of Handsome Jack and his new free range setup! Sorry about the pooey pictures of him-I had to zoom in from a bit of a distance because he hates the camera.
His little nose horn looks like it's growing out. :D
Here's the lights.
