Haha too funny! I bought a new one like that, but the one I had before was this digital thing that had about 10 different settings but you never knew which one was the right one. No one could figure out how to use it! haha
Hi everyone, I would just like opinions on how you guys think my male 3 month old nosy be baby is doing, I think he's at a healthy weight and he's growing like a weed, but I want to get opinions on how ya'll think I am doing :)
My crickets are gutloaded with kale, strawberries, potatoes and...
He's 3 months old and already super blue! He just finished shedding this morning, can't wait to see more ! :D
(Sorry for the sideways photo....anyone know how to fix that?!)
His basking spot is between 80 and 90F all the time, and I'm using a Repti-glo 5.0 UVB bulb and a regular 40 watt house bulb for heat. Neither of the lights are directly on top of my cage, but it just concerns me that hes up there so much!
My baby panther chameleon is hanging under is UV lamp quite a bit....I know this is normal for them to explore, but I am concerned he is going to get burned because he spends so much time up there. I have both my lights off of the top of the cage with clamps, but they're only about 3-4 inches...
Okay thanks you guys! I actually have a timer, but can't get the stupid thing to work for me! I will just have to go out and get a new one I suppose. Elizadolots, I think I'll do what you said and turn them on at 10 so he only has an extra hour. Thanks again! :D
Hi,
My 2.5 month old nosy be baby is on a 9am to 9pm routine, and I'm supposed to be going away this weekend. I have someone coming in to feed/mist/monitor/turn on and off all of his lights all except for one night. One of my friends is able to come over and shut them off, but not until...
This was pre-misting. I just got him 2 days ago and he seems to be settling in just fine! He already has some of his blue coming in! :D Sorry for the sideways picture, I'm not sure how to change it!
Yeah, I wasn't the happiest of campers....is there a method of sorting them without having 20 of them escape? I have them in a home made cricket keeper made out of a Rubbermaid container.
I went and picked up my 2.5 month old male nosy be panther chameleon 2 days ago, and I bought what are supposed to be the 1/8 inch crickets for him from my breeder. I got the crickets home (I live 2 hours away from my breeder) and they look way to big for him! Some of them are adult crickets...
Maybe I will just go and get the Exo-Terra ceramic dome lights instead to be safe? They're on sale at my local pet smart right now anyways :)
He should be okay, as he is not being shipped but I'm driving to a city 2 hours away to pick him up. That shouldn't stress him out as much as...
Wykd, I will go to Wal-Mart today and buy the clamp on work lights :) I have had chameleons before, just never a baby. Yes he is a male, and he will be about 3 months old when I get him.
The humidity was fine, before I misted it was around 50-60 percent, and after misting it was 90-100

Okay, so I get my male baby Nosy Be in about 3 weeks now, and I'm in the process of trying to get my temperatures and humidity levels right before he gets here. I have a glass exo terra terrarium 18x18x24, an exo terra 5.0UVB compact coil bulb, a 40 watt household bulb for warmth, a Ficus that...
I would like some input on what wattage and such would be best for a 2-3 month old panther chameleon in a 18x18x24 exo-terra glass terrarium? Whats the best basking temperature for him as well? I am going to buy the bulbs today and would like everyone's thoughts! Thanks! :)
